SOUGHA is a social enterprise initiative launched by Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in U.A.E, aimed at creating opportunities for unemployable and underprivileged Emiratis. In addition, it seeks to preserve the Emirati heritage through headhunting skilled local crafts men and women all over the UAE, and then improving their technical and entrepreneurial skills to enable them to access to market opportunities & income generation.
The collection on Fashion ComPassion is a limited edition of trendy, hand crafted clutches made especially for Fashion ComPassion. The clutches are created by Emirati women artisans from biodegradable local leathers, with Talli, Badla and Sheera & Sadou weave; which embody UAE’s culture and heritage. Sougha’s products are sold through exhibitions, festivals & retail stores. Etihad Airlines sells Sougha products in the U.A.E and Fashion ComPassion is Sougha’s first international partner, selling the products in the UK and selected retailers in Pakistan.
