Palestyle is more than just a Fashion Statement, at Palestyle we insure that our fashion creates awareness towards the value and history of handmade Palestinian Embroidery and Arabic Calligraphy, thus promoting the warmth of the heritage in a trendy manner.
The embroidery collection is hand made by Palestinian refugee women in camps of Jordan & Lebanon. While the rest of collection; handbags and accessories are made in different parts of the region.
Palestyle sources all the embroidery from Palestinian refugee women in need by providing them with paid work at the convenience of their homes or neighboring organizations, giving a percentage of the revenue from sales and most importantly empowering them with a sense of achievement . In addition to giving a percentage from sales of the entire Palestyle collection, monetary assistance is provided to the women and to social projects directly supporting the women, their families and communities.
In 2009, Palestyle became a reality with the help of Magnet Fashion, a venture built on the concept of "fashion for a social cause". The UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, Her Highness Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi acts as a patron of Magnet Fashions. Palestyle products are sold in high- end fashion outlets in the Middle East. In the UK, Palestyle is sold exclusively through Fashion ComPassion. The collection includes wide range of silk and chiffon hand-embroidered scarves, clothing, beautiful leather clutches and jewellery.
