Sending girls to school
As a social fashion enterprise aimed at fostering change through ethical retail, Fashion ComPassion is committed to helping the WFP enhance girls' access to basic education through school feeding in countries where women are particularly vulnerable to illiteracy and gender disparities. WFP provides school meals and take-home rations as an incentive for poor families to send their daughters to school, while empowering girls with knowledge and the nutrients they need to focus in class. It only costs $0.25 (USD) to feed a child for a day through WFP's school feeding programme. From January 2013 and until December 2017, Fashion Compassion will contribute $5.00 (USD) to WFP for every purchase made via this website or in stores where Fashion ComPassion products are stocked.
