What is the name of your blog?
Tell us about your blog and why you started it?
I started my blog about 3 months ago with the intention of helping to revive the wardrobes of young people and give a little inspiration. My aim, to put together a different outfit each day using my own things, model the look, and give a description on where one can buy these items, the price range and how to work the look to it's fullest, simple!
Why is sustainable fashion so important?
We live in a world that relies upon us the human race to help cut the carbon footprint, Every industry has taken part from car manufacturers to the housing market, why shouldn't we the fashion industry take part too? Fashion is a big influence to young people, therefore a strong message can be given through this.
How do you describe your style/fashion sense?
Honestly my style changes on a daily basis, it all depends on my mood! But If I had to put me in a category, I'd say Im a bit of a bohemian girl, I love sporting those fab floaty dresses and tussled golden locks.
Who do you admire in the world of sustainable fashion?
I adore Eviana Hartman from the US she founded her collection called Bodkin in 2008, her pieces are beautifully simplistic, using organic cottons, innovative new fibres and effluent dye processes from the US she has become very well know within sustainable fashion.
What are your top tips for buying ethical and sustainable products?
I'm a massive fan of retrofitting, what I do is scour the rails of second hand shops to find basic items (you can find some amazing pieces if you look hard enough) then I customise using my own designs and embellishments. Key word here is haberdashery!
What are your plans for the future?
I'd like to continue giving inspiration to others, Ideally work towards being a professional blogger for a designer or label and do my bit in supporting sustainable living.
