For the first time ever, Green Carpet Challenge pieces will be available to buy online thanks to their new partnership with NET-A-PORTER, an online fashion retailer.
Together, they have created an exclusive GCC Capsule Collection, featuring ten gowns from five of best British designers. Victoria Beckham, Burberry Prorsum, Chistopher Kane, Erdem and Roland Mouret, have all produced pieces in accordance with GCC's high ethical and sustainable standards.
The collection will be sold from today (17th September) on NET-A-PORTER.COM. 20% of the proceeds will be donated to (RED)™, AIDS awareness organisation.
Livia Firth, creative director of Eco-Age.com and co-founder of the GCC, said, 'We decided early on that the Green Carpet Challenge would work on two levels: on the world’s red carpets to get our favourite A-listers wearing sustainable style in front of the flash bulbs and then deep in the supply chain with real producers all over the world making systemic change...this collection puts the two together in a wonderful symbiotic relationship and shows the power of NET-A-PORTER as a fashion industry game changer when it embraces sustainable style'.
