100% hand woven cotton short length skirt with hand embroidery around the waistband. There is an invisible zipper to side. The Grey Folk Skirt is made by women artisans in Bangladesh from naturally dyed, Azo chemical-free, hand loomed cotton. 

Bhalo is an ethical fashion label that works with rural Bangladeshi women to create limited edition garments using hand woven fabrics, printing & embroidery.   As well as being focused on ethical working conditions and community development, Bhalo’s production has a green focus also. The cotton is not only AZO chemical free, but also hand loomed and hand embroidered. Bhalo works with two collectives of local fair trade producers. TheGrey Folk Skirt is made by the Thanapara Swallows Development Society which is a Fair Trade organisation that provides work for over 200 women in rural Bangladesh, and profits help cover the costs of the village school for 300 children.
